In the program's first year, HoCo teens were introduced to each faith community through monthly peer-led programming.  The teens: 

 

• visited St. John Baptist Church and enjoyed watching their peers lead an afternoon worship service;

• learned the meaning behind the Unitarian Universalist symbol and mindfully walked the labyrinth on the UUCC grounds;

•  participated in interactive rotations at Beth Shalom where Jewish teens shared various cultural and religious aspects of their religion.  

• toured Dar Al-Taqwa, watched a prayer service, and engaged in an informal Q &A session about Islam.

 

The year's program culminated at Maryum Islamic Center where teens particpated in a festive Iftar meal.
