2018-19 Cohort

This year's program built on past successes in interfaith dialogue and interfaith action.  In particular, this year emphasized interfaith collaboration, student leadership, and advocacy.

During the 2018-19 school year, teens:

  • formed strong interpersonal connections with teens from different faith backgrounds
  • continued to learn about each other's faith traditions and engage in meaningful discussions;
  • learned about community organizing with Reverend Louise Green, Lead Organizer of People Acting Together in Howard (PATH), and her team;
  • collaborated on student-led action to improve the lives of teens living in Howard County.
    • Teens from our group were able to speak at an event to our county superintendent and school board members advocating for mental health funding for the Howard County Public School System.
